although it is quite backdated, i absolutely agree with this post.

it is always the crowd that wants to cheer for the underdog (well apple wasnt really THE underdog but they painted themselves as such). Most people went ahead with that and now that they have gotten much bigger and popular it is inevitable that people will turn on them.

the article makes people who 'believed' in apple seem naive and they are but at the same time they are the majority. thats just how it usually is in this world. who really cheers for microsoft?

being the underdog would mean sympathy votes. they didnt need that cos they have a few unbeatable products. but, with their marketing strategy, they created a cult that everyone wants/wanted to be a part of. thats why you see a lot of people getting hurt over sentimentalities like this. if you take a macbook for exactly what it is and compare it to any windows run laptop, rest assured, no one is going to cheer bill gates.
